J.P.J "-, \ SWEARING SIMON. i - : An individual, who gave his name as Simon [Sawdust,^ was this morning charged with beinfe drupk and disorderly last night, and -withjusingr obscene language in the streets. Constables Bradcock and Beattie deposed . that when on duty last night they hoard violent language being used at the Coach and Horses, ahd saw the prisoner turned out. He V then went to the Wakatu, but was^speedily expelled ;from there, when he commenced swearing most horribly at the Jlandlord, and . making use of abominable language. They arrested him and took him to the station, he i going on in the same way all down the street. On being asked whether he had anything to say to the charge prisoner replied that he didn't suppose it would be any good if he had. He was fined 20s add costs, or in default 48 hours' imprisonment on the first charge, and £3 and costs, or one month on the second, the sentences to be cumulative. Donaldson v. Nash. Judgment was given in this case as follows:—The Court find thai the plaintiff rented a site for a booth from the Caledonian Society on certain conditions, which ho disregarded, and that the Directors were perfectly justified in removing his goods. Plaintiff nonsuited with costs, £1 9s.
