Melbourne. Bannerman's testimonial has reached £90. Au application was made in the Supreme Court to strike an attorney oil! the rolls for misconduct, but was refused on the ground that the affidavit disclosed an indictable offence, aud conviction must precede any action such as that asked for. A fatal accident occurred on board! the Serapis during her voyage from London. Two boys were on the topmast when it broke away; one of the youths was killed by the fall, and the other knocked overboard and drowned. Adelaide, April 4. The ship British Enterprise lias arrived with a number of immigrants. Seven cases of smallpox of a mild description occurred during the voyage, principally amongst the crew, one of whom died, and two are yet invalided ; whooping cough and scarlatina are also prevalent. The number of deaths from all causes was ten. The' vessel has been placed in strict quarantine, so that further particular^ cannot be ascertained.
