The Lyttelton leaves Blenheim to-night with a cargo of sheep, and will arrive tomorrow. She will sail for Blenheim via Kekerangu on Monday. The Wallace arrived afc Greymouth to-day, and will sail for Nelson via Westport tomorrow.
The Taupo leaves Onehanga to-day, will arrire oa Sunday morning, and sail for Wellington on Monday. The Lady Barkly returned from her usual trip to Goldeu Bay last night. The cutter Maid of Italy arrived from Kiwaka last evening with a general cargo. The ship Northampton, which has been detained for the last two day*-, will probably sail this evening for Wellington, for which port she has a large cargo. The barquentine Mary "VVadley had not arrived at Napier up to Friday last, and a •rumor is current there that she has met with eome accident. The barque Chaudiere, Captain Pitfield, sailed from Napier on March 29th for Newcastle, where she will load with coal for some .Eastern port. She met with quick despatch at Napier, all the cargo having been taken out of her in less than a fortnight. Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood, and Co.'s s.s. Arawata, Captain Underwood, left Melboarne at 3 p.m. on the 28th March, cleared Port Phillip Heads at 5-10 p.m., and passed Swan Island ot 11*40 a.m. next day; experienced light S.W. winds and fine weather during the run across; passed the Solanders at 6 p.m. on the Ist inst., and arrived at the Bluff at 11 p.m. same day; discharged cargo, and sailed at -i-30 p.m on the 2nd, arriving afc Port Chalmers at 6 a.m. on the 3rd; discharged 220 tons of cargo, and sailed at 5 p.m., arriving at Lyttelton at B*2o a.m. on the 4th; left at 4 p.m., and arrived at Wellington at 7*30 a.m. yesterday; sailed for Nelson at 2 o'clock this morning, staved at the Pass for two^hours' fishing, and arrived here at 1 p.m. Experienced light variable winds and fine weather on the coast. She Bailed for Wellington and South shortiy after 3 o'clock this afternoon. An arrangement has been made by the Albion Shipping Company of Glasgow to take over a portion of the fleet of Messrs Shaw, Savill, and Co.'s " Passenger Line," of New Zealand packets, and to work the •service to the ports of the Middle Island of New Zealand from London in addition to the service from Clyde to the various ports in that colony. The capital of the Albion Shipping Company has been in consequence increased to. £1,100,000. The service from London to the North Island of New Zealand, will be continued by the Passenger Line as formerly. The combined fleet of the two Lines numbers 60 ships of an aggregate tonnage of 61,041 tons register. — Times, January 31st.
