A correspondent from Motueka wishes to correct a statement made in the Mail of Monday last . to the effect that a cricket match had been -played between the Star Club aud the «s local club." He says:—" The £Te.v,en from Motueka were a scratch eleven, and were not nominated by our club, which had' distinctly declined to accept the challenge." ..^.The Artillery . will . parade . at half-past seven this evening, and proceed to the railWay station to remove .the guns to their shed. ; 'There' ; was a merry harvest liome at Messrsj Allen and Go's, in Waimea South on Easter Monday, in celebration of the termination of the hop-picking.
