The schooner Richard and Mary arrived this morning from Waitapu with a cargo of timber. The schooner Arthur Wakefield came into harbor this morning from Oamaru, after a protracted passage, caused by adverse winds. She brings a cargo of breadstuffs, consigned to Mr, R. Levien. e The Wallace arrived from Wanganui at eight o'clock yesterday morning, and will sail for West Coast ports immediately after the arrival of the San Francisco mail. The Charles Edward sailed for West Coast ports yesterday morning. The Lyttelton arrived yesterday morning from Wellington, and will sail for Blenheim on Wednesday. The Kennedy will sail for Wellington at 5 p.m. to-day. The barque Canny Scot commenced discharging her cargo of coal on Saturday afternoon. The cutter Dido arrived at the outer anchorage during last night, and came to an anchor. She came into harbor at low water this morning. The Dido is from Blenheim, and brings a cargo of produce. The Union Company's s.s. Hawea, Captain Wheeler, arrived in harbor at 8-30 p.m. on Saturday. She left Onehunga at 8-30 a.m. on Friday, proceeding under easy steam to Taranaki, and arriving off that place at daylight on Saturday; landed passengers and cargo, and sailed for Nelson at 8 a.m., arriving here as above. Fine weather was experienced throughout. She sailed South at 9*30 a.m. yesterday. The Union Company's s.s. Taupo, Captain Carey, came into harbor at 9-45 a.m. yesterday. . She left Port Chalmers on the afternoon of Wednesday, and arrived at Lyttelton the following morning; sailed for Wellington at 3 p.m. the same day, arriving there at 7 a.m: on Friday; left at 5 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived at Picton at 10 p.m.; sailed for Nelson at midnight, and arrived here as above. Light winds with fine weather marked the run up. She sails for Northern ports at 11 a.m. to-day.
