To-moebow being Good Friday, there will be no publication of. the Evening Mail. A correspondent telegraphs as follows from Foxhill.— "News received here from Tadmor this morning states that two holes have bottomed on the flat and struck payable gold." * J Tue practice of the Harmonic Society will take place this evening as usual. The anniversary of the Wesleyan Sunday School, Motueka, will be celebrated by a tea meeting to-morrow. The Lady Barkly, which leaves Nelson at 8 a.m., will convey visitors, returning in the evening at eight o'clock. It is notified that the Banks will be closed J to-morrow, Saturday, and Monday. ' The Star Cricket Club will play a match I at Motueka to-morrow with a team belonging ' to that place. The following are the names of the Star Club:— Messrs T. and J. Wigzell, S. Bolton, Ward, Roper, C. Halhday, f! Foote, Coles, White, IJ. Halliday, and H. Cross. The team will proceed across to Motueka in the Lady Barkly. The arrangement for services in connection with the Church of England for Easter is as follows :— Good Friday: At Christ Church, Nelson, by the Bishop of Nelson at 11 a.m.; Easter Day.- At the Camp, Richmond, by the Bishop of Nelson at ll a.m., and at St. Alban's, Appleby, at 3 p.m.; Holy Trinity Church, Richmond, by the Rev. J. P. On Saturday afternoon the sports will take place, and on Sunday morning divine service will be held. There will probably be a night attack on the camp by the Naval Brigade and City Rifles, who will proceed by water to Richmond in the Aurora and three other boats. y .The firing for the badge by the Normanby Hussars took place, at Wakefield yesterday, -when the highest score was made- by Lieut Smith, who scored 24 at the 400 yards and 17 at the 500 yards range.
