The Murray sailed for Wellington last evening, and arrived there 11*30 this morning- ,- The Kennedy will sail for West Coast ports at 10 a.m. to-morrow. The Albion is advertised to sail for Melbourne via West Coast ports on Monday. The Maori leaves Dunedin to-morrow on her usual subsidised tour round the Island. This time she comes by way of Lyttelton. The "schooner May is on the hard having her bottom cleaned and tarred. The' cutter Midge arrived from Waitapu last evening. The Arawata leaves Melbourne on Monday next for New Zealand. The Wellington was to leave Onehunga at 3 p.m. to-day. She will arrive here on Monday morning early, and sail for the South at 3 p.m. There, was no appearance of the schooner Awaroa from Wanganui up to the time of our going to press. Probably the S'W. wind which was blowing this morniug has detained her. SHe has' on board the following passengers : Mr and Miss Hadfield, Messrs Winks, Green, Price, Freeth (2). There are also three racehorses coming across in her. The -p.s. Charles Edward arrived this morning from West Coast ports. She left Nelson on the 18th instant at 1230 p.m.; experienced a very heavy thunder storm, with hail and rain, for about two hours off the Spit End,, from thence a strong S.E. : wind, arriving at Westport at 9*30 a.m. on the 19th; left at 12.40 p.m. on the 20th, and arrived at Hokitika at II a.m. next day; left again at noon, arriving at Greymoutn at 250 p.m. same day; sailed at 3*30 a.m. yesterday, arriving at Westport at noon; left for Nelson at 3 p.m., and arrived here at 10 a.m. to-day. Experienced light S.W. breezes on the passage np. The Union Company's s.s. Hawea, Captain Wheeler, came into harbor this morning at 1-30. She left Port Chalmers at 1-45 p:m. on the 20th inst., and arrived at Lyttelton at 9-50 a.m. on the 21st; left again at 3-15 p.m. same day, and arrived at Wellington at 9-30 a.m. on the 22nd; sailed fbr Picton at 8 a.m. yesterday, arriving there at 11-30; left for Nelson at 1-30 p.m., and being early for the tide the engines were stopped Avhen near Jackson's Head so as to admit of the passengers having some fishing. Several rock cod were caught, and a monster conger eel. After dodging about for over two hours steam was once more put on, and the Hawea arrived here early this morning. She sailed North, at 4 p.ro.
