The Beautiful Star left Westport last night, will arrive this evening, and sail for Southern ports at 8 o'clock. The Taranaki left New Plymouth this morning, will arrive to-night, acd sail for Southern ports to-morrow at 10 a. m. The Murray left for West Coast ports this morning jvith a full cargo and a fair number of passengers. - Tbe Charles Edward will sail for West Coast ports, on Sunday at noon. The Lyttelton left Blenheim for Nelson at 3*15 this afternoon, and will arrive to-mor-row morning. The Wallace sailed for Wanganui last evening, ani arrived there at 11-30 this morning. She leaves on the return trip tomorrow. The Lady Barkly returned from her usual trip to Golden Bay last evening. The cutter Maid of Italy arrived this morning from Riwaka with a mixed cargo. The schooner Richard and Mary arrived this morning from Waitapu with a cargo of timber for the- harbor works. The Ringarooma sailed for Wellington last evening at 9-20, and was to proceed round the Island instead of going through the French Pass. She arrived in Wellington at 1050 a.m. to-day, and will leave there tomorrow evening for Lyttelton. The Union Company's s.s. Taupo, Captain Carey, came into harbor at 1 1 o'clock last night She left Port Chalmers with the inward Suez mail, transhipped from the Ringarooma, at l-3tf p.m. on Monday, and arrived at Lyttelton early next morning; left the same afternoon, and reached Wellington on Wednesday morning ; was detained there until 7 a.m. yesterday, when she sailed for Picton, arriving there at 11-40 a m.; left for Nelson at 230 p.m., arriving here as above. Light winds with fine weather marked the run up. She sails North at 7 o'clock to-night. The ships Crusader and Rangitiki, the former belonging to Messrs Shaw, Saville, and Co., and the latter to the New Zealand Shipping Company, left Lyttelton for London on. Monday last, and a great race is anticipated between them. Both vessels are in splendid trim, and a close race is expected. The Crusader . took 19 passengers, and the Eangitiki 79, the latter being the largest number of passengers which has left in one bottom for the old country for some time past. The united value of these two vessels amounts to over £200,000.
