NELSON ROWING CLUB.
To the Editor of the « Evenik* Mail.' Sir-" Oneof the Club " corrects a statement made by me the other night. He is right, and so am I. I did not mean to say that the hat had been sent rouud by the Club, but at the same time I adhere to my assertion that the public had largely assisted to set the Club on its legs. Does not the Club comprise.a large number of honorary members? Did not these honorary members join and pay their half-sovereign merely for the purpose of assisting in procuring boat* for the active members to practiseand row racei in? Does not this amount to public support? And the^public, as represented by the honorary" members, wbn f t regret giving their money one bit if our oarsmen will but turn to account the advantages placed at thtir disposal.— l am, &c, c Crab-Ca-mhbr.
