The Kennedy arrived at Westport this morning after a splendid run of eighteen hours. She will leave for Hokitika to-night. The Murray arrived at Wellington this morning from Wanganui, and will sail for Nelson to-morrow, arriving on Thursday morning. The barque Canny Scot, with a cargo of coals for Messrs N. Edwards and Co., left Newcastle to-day. The Beautifnl Star left Hokitika for Nelson via Greymouth and Westport this morning after a detention of ten days in that port. The Lyttelton arrived at Blenheim this morning. The Lady Barkly sails for Motueka and Golden Bay this evening. Tbe Taupo, which is bringing up the Suez mail, left Port Chalmers at 1-35 yesterday afternoon, and arrived at Lyttelton this uorning. She will arrive here on Thursday morning, and sail for the North in the evening. The Hawea sailed last evening afc five o'clock, and arrived at Welliigton at 11 -15 this morning. She leaves tbat port tbis afternoon for the South. The schooner Waitohai will probably sail for Haveloek this evening. The cutter Maid of Italy arrived last evening from Riwaka with a general cargo. The Dido will sail for Blenheim this evening with a cargo of coal. The only arrival to-day was the ketch Pearl from Waitapu, which came into harbor this af ternoou. The Prospect is on the hard for tbe purpose of having her bottom cleaned and painted. The barque Me'rose finished discharging her cargo of coal yesterday afternoon, and commenced ballasting immediately afterwards. She will probably sail for Newcastle to-morrow. The schooner Amaranth is now due from the Manukau with a cargo of kauri timber. Tne Arthur Wakefield is daily expected from Oamaru with a cargo of flour for Mr R. Levien. The Awaroa was towed to the outer anc: orage by the Lady Barkly yesterday afternoon. Tbe schooner hove up anchor shortly after dusk, and proceeded on her voyage to Wanganui. There was very little wird during the night, and tbe consequence was that she was not many miles away this morning. Advices by the Somerset, arrived at Brisbane, report the loss by fire of the ship Harvey Mills at Port Royal with 7000 bales of cotton. The ship Isabel, from Melbourne, has been lo^fc at sea off Rangoon. The captain, his wife and family, and 12 of the crew, were d "owned. The steamer Park has been lost between Saigon and Hong Kong. The master, crew, and 80 Chinese passengers, were drowned. Tbe ship Strathdon, which arrived at Sydney last Tuesday, in 30 degs. south passed a great quantity of corks and sawn boards banded together, ai d other wreckage, supposed to have drifted from a wreck about Tristan d' Acunha. It is supposed to indicate the loss of an immigrant ship.
