SAILED. February 28, cutter Planet, 15, Thorne, for -Motueka. The Alhambra arrived from Melbourne via the West Coast this morning too late for the^ tide, and consequently had to come to an anchor. She will enter the harbor about half-past seven to-night, and sail for Melbourne and South at 10 p.m. The Charles Edward sails for Wellington this afternoon. Sbe will return on Sunday, and sail for West Coast ports on Monday. The Murray will sail for West Coast ports to-morrow morning.. The Wallace arrived at Blenheim at 11-50 a.m. to-day. The schooner Richard and Mary was to leave Waitapu for Nelson yesterday morning. The Lady Barklv will arrive this evening from Golden Bay, " The schooner Awaroa is announced to sail for Wanganui to-morrow. The schooner Waitohai and the cutter Dart arrived from Havelock yesterday, the former in the evening and the latter in the afternoon, The Prospect arrived from Waitapu yesterday afternoon with a load of timber for the harbor works. The Union Company's s.s. Wellington, Captain Lloyd, came into harbor this morning at 8 o'clock. She left Port Chalmers at 6 p.m. on the 24th, and arrived at Akaroa at lOa.m.on the 25th; left at 11*25 a.m., and avrived at Lytteiton at 4 p.m the same day; sailed .on the 26th at 6-30 p.m., and arrived , at Wellington at 2 p.m. on the 27th; left again yesterday at 215 p.m., and arrived at Picton-at. 7*34 p.m.; sailed at 9 p.m., arriving here as above. Fine weather with light winds were experienced- on the passage up. We observe that Mr Grant, formerly of the "Waitaki, is purser, Mr M'Corraack having been transferred to the office of the Company at Dunedin. The Wellington sails North at I 7P m.
