To. the Editor op the ' Evening Mail.' Sir — As a paragraph appeared in your issue of yesterday relative to the accident at the Government Wharf on Monday last, when a man fell from the wharf inside the barque Chaudiere, I may safely state that; Captain Levy was the person who threw his coat and waistcoat off, and was fche only one who went under the wharf to rescue ' the drowning man, who was caught by Captain •Levy and put in a sling from the barque and hoisted oh board.— l am, &c., ' , __ An Eye- Witness, Nelson, Feb... l, 1876
