The barque Chaudiere, from London, was signalled when we went to press, The Taupo leaves New Plymouth at 5 p.m. to-day, will arrive to-morrow, and sail for the South at 9 a.m. The Wallace leaves Wellington to-night, will arrive to-morrow, and sail for West Coast ports at 1 1 a.m. on Thursday. The Murray arrived at Hokitika this morning, and will sail for Nelson via Greymouth and Westport to-morrow. The Hinemoa left Port Chalmers with the Suez mail yesterday. She will arrive here on Thursday on her way to Hokitika with the Volunteer representatives. The Lady Barkly will sail for Golden Bay at 6 o'clock this evening. The cutters Maid of Italy and Planet arrived this morning with cargoes of produce. The Hawea was put into the Graving Dock at Port Chalmers on Thursday last to undergo her periodical overhaul. She leaves for Northern ports this afternoon. The Union Company's s.s. Wellington, Captain Lloyd, came into harbor this morning at 8 o'clock. She left Port Chalmers on Friday at 2 p.m., and arrived at Lyttelton at 12-30 p.m. on Saturday; left at 6 p.m., and arrived at Wellington at 12*30 p.m. on Sunday;" sailed for Picton at 3-30 p.m yesterday, arriving there at 8 p.m.; left at 10 p.m., arriving here as above. Five weather with light airs marked the run up. She sails •North at 6 p.m. . The p.s. Charles Edward arrived alongside the Albion Wharf this morning at 6-40. She left here on the 7th instant at 4-45 p.m.; experienced fine weather as far as Rock's Point, from thence thick dirty weather with strong S.E. .jwind, which: continued until arrival at Westport on the " Bth at noon, crossing the har afc;3.'ls p.m.; left the same night at eight o'clock for Hokitika, arriving there on the 9th at .5 a.m.; left again at 6 a.m. on the 10th, arriving at the Grey on the same tide; landed cargo and took in 57 tons coal, and left at 9-30 a.m. on the llth, arriving at Westport afc 4-30 p.m.; left yesterday at 10-40 a.m., arriving here as above. Experienced fine weather and light variable winds on the passage up. She will sail for Wellington at 4 p.m. to-morrow.
