London, February 5. Midhat Pasha has been dismissed, and Edhim Pasha appoiuted as his successor. In a circular the Porte vigorously upholds the integrity of the Turkish Empire. February 6. Germany denies the cession of territory by the King of Tonga, and states that the King only authorised the use of the port as a coaling station.
