UPPER MOTUEKA ROAD BOARD.

This board met on Saturday last. Members present: Messrs Gee, Coleman, {-.nd Needham. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Tenders were received for gravelling in Motupiko Valley; the tender of Mr G. Slass of £l per chain was accepted. Tenders were received for gravelling in Motueka Valley; the tender of Mead and Brewerten of £l 7s per chain was accepted. Resolved, That Mr Curtis be applied to for a certificated surveyor to enable the Board to take the necessary steps to stop up the old road to Motupiko Valley. A letter was received from the Clerk to the Waimea County Council requesting to be furnished with the amount of rates annually levied, also any information that might assist the Council in determining the proportion in which funds payable to the Council should be divided amongst the several road districts. Resolved, That the Secretary be instructed to forward tbe information required. Resolved, That the next meeting be held on the 3rd March. The Board settled accounts to the amount of £14 4s.
