ARRIVAL OF THE ROTORUA.

Thiifiue steamer, under the command of Captain Macfarlane, came into harbor at 7-20 this mqrning % We published an account of her~last ; week, -'so that it is needless now for us to enter into details. .As a model she is perfect. A fine bow with graceful lines, which run to nearly midships, there insensibly bending with a clean run, terminating in a good plumb stern, and with a clean delivery aft. Her saloon accommodation is de. rigeur at all points, being an exact counterpart of the steamers Hawea and Taupo. She is •-..- much -obre pleasing to the eye on deck than ! T those vessels, the flush deck being a great -.. improvement. The captains-c abin is onjdeck 7 -.-on the starboard side just above the stoke f; .hole, and the heat in there is simply, unbeary able. The engines are by Denny Brothers, •&•--; of Dumbarton, and are exactly the same as the Hawea' s, only with a longer stroke and p.- more power, her nominal horse power being | 172, as compared with the Hawea and _ Taupo's 165.T Anew, feature on; board is ; ' the steam steering apparatus, which is inside T the wheel-house on deck,- and which by a 77 simple- contrivance is easily .managed from '■;,- the bijidge above.
