No first prize will be givea unless two boats start, and no second uniess three. All protests must be made in writing, and signed by the person protesting, and lodged witn the Secretary before 7 o'clock in the evening of tbe day on which the Race was won, together witb a sum ot money at the rate of 5 per cent on the first prize. AU protesta to be referred to the bailing Committee; their decision to be final. Should the Committee coueider any protest to be frivolous or vexatious, the money deposited to be forfeited. : Disqualincatious to date from time of entry.
