-Melbourne, Monday. At. the races the weather wa3 wet and cold, but there was a good attendance. The Governor was [present. Hurdle Race: Dalesman, 1 ; Arrow, 2; Gaffer Grey, 3. Two Year Old Stakes: The King, i; Lockley, 2; Rainbow, 3. Time, I minute. Six Hundred Pounds Plate: Copoer 1, Poodle 2, Benham, 3. Time, 1 mm 48seca. Midsummer Handicap: Barmaid, Jl; Rapid Bay, 2; Meteor, 3. This was a fine race, for which ten started. Time, 3mins lOsecs. Champion Race: Pride of the Hills, 1; Callamea, 2; Voio, 3. Seven started, and there was a fine race. Time, Smins 34secs. Stdnev, Monday. Tattersall Cup: Viva, 1; Valetta, 2; Melbourne, 3. Fourteen started, and it was a grand race, Viva winning by a head. Time, 3 ruins 37£ sees.
