The Charles Edward sailed for West Coast ports last night! immediately on the arrival of the Taupo with the. San Francisco mail. The Wallace will leav> Wellington tonight, arrive to-morrow morning, and sail for .■ Wanganui in the evening. The Tararua will arrive from Wellington to-morrow morning, and sail for Sydney via West Coast port's by the same tide. The Kennedy has bden placed on. the cradle for painting and cleaning, and will sail for the West- Coast on Thursday. The Murray is expected from West Coast porte-taßnorrow night, and will sail for Wellington on the following day. The. Pearl sailed for Waitapu last evening. The f Lady Barkly will leave for Golden Bay to-morrow evening. " ■ The schooner Waitohai is advertised to _sail for •Hafelo'ck on Thursday. The Prospect arrived from Para Para last evening with ! a cargo of hematite ore. The Union Company's s.s. Taupo, Captain Carey, carrying the inward San Francisco mail, arrived off the Lighthouse last evening at 8-30, l after a'gopd run of 23 hours from the Manukau, including detention at Tara- " naki. t; She left One'iunga wharf at 5*30 p.m. - on Sunday, and arrived at Taranaki at 5 a.m. yesterday^ .landed passengera.and cargo, and ' after % stay 5 of' one hour, sailed for Nelson, arriving here as above. Fine weather, with light winds and smooth sea, marked the passage down. The Taupo sailed again shortly before ten, and arrived in Wellington at 10-45 a:m. tcPday. l She leaves that port this afternoon for Lyttelton.
