The Nelson Evening Mail. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 1876.
Wk understand that the elections of Councillors in the different Ridings will take place on Friday, the 22nd instant. We must again complain of the wretched accommodation provided for the representatives of the press at the Supreme Court. There is a most uncomfortable form on which to sit, and they also have to put up with the inconvenience of having the public sitting on each side of them on the same form, the whispered conversation that is occasionally carried on rendering it impossible at times to hear correctly what is said by the Judge, counsel, or witnesses. At the Resident Magistrate's Court this morning, six boys named William Brimmar, Henery Walters, George Christiaa, Charles Ball and Claude Ball were charg d by Constable Bradccck with bathing in the Maitai River, near Collingwood Bridge, between 8 am. and 8 p.m. . His Worship said he should dismiss the present charge on the payment by each defendant of the costs, 6s 6d, but the offence not be repeated. AxTention is directed to the sale by auction to-morrow by Mr Augarde of the household furniture, of Captain M-'Arthur, which, will take place at his residence, the Port. The house and land will also be disposed of by auction. Bk on the alert if you have symptoms announcing the approach of kidney or bladder disorders. Pains across the kidneys, turbid urine, difficulty in passing water, burning in the urethra, proclaim that something is. wrong, and that " something " if disregarded may develop into a most serious evil. Delay not a- moment if there is the slightest uriuary difficulty to apply the remedy especially recommended by. the faculty for. such disorders, Udolpho Wolfk'B Schibdam Aho» matic Schnapps — Advt.
