Phillips v. Shaw.— This was a judgment summons for £24 15s 9d. Defendant was ordered to pay the amount in ..two instalments, tha first on the 4th of January, and the second on the 4th of February. On failure to pay the first, the whole to be thereupon due, and on failure to pay the second, defendant to be imprisoned for one month. Breach of Scab Act. William Arnold was charged by Mr Canning, Inspector of Sheep, with introducing 600 sheep into the Nelson district at the Top House withont being inspected. Defendant, who admitted the olfence, the first one of the kind brought before the Court, was fined one penny a head, and costs £3 7s. j
