CRICKET.

Nelson v. Wakefield. A match between the3e two clubs was played at Wakefield yesterday, and although, owing to time not allowing of the game being finished, it actually ended in a draw, there can bt no doubt as to which side would have scored a victory had it been played out. The play requires little description, as the scores tell their own tale. At the close of the first innings on each side the two teams made a vigorous attack on an excellent lunch provided by Mr R. M. Smith, after which play was resumed, and the Wakefield men from that time appeared to have had it all their own way. The return match will be played in Victory Square on Saturday next.
