RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT. SPRING GROVE.
[Before L. Broad, Esq., R.M., and Hugh Martin and J. Talbot, Esqs., J.J.P.J , ..YESTERDAY. Robert Small sued for sureties of the peace from John Kerr, jun., who, after evidence had been taken at some length, was ordered to* enter into his own recognizance in . the sum of £30, and to find two sureties iv £15 each to keep the peace for six months. - The following debt cases were disposed of :-^Brown v. Tidd for £16 4s for wages. Judgment for plaintiff with costs 26s. — Barnes v. Palmer, £17 6s, wages due. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed and 19s costs. —Pain ton v. Disher, £5 8s for goods supplied, Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed and 14s costs.— Painton v. Brooks, £2 13s 9d for goods supplied. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed and Its costs.— Primmer Brothers v. Carvell, for £10 2s lOd. Judgment for plaintiffs for amount claimed and 47s costs.— Primmer Brothers v. Griffiths, for £3 lis 8d; the same v. Jno. Palmer for £6 4s Bd. Judgment in each case for plaintiffs.— Dron v. Palmer, for £2 18s 6d, charged under the Cattle Trespass Actfor defendant's sheep trespass- , ing on. his land. . According to defendant's statement plaintiff had made a considerable . income by the trespass of .Palmer's sheen, he haying paid him over £30 previous' to the present 'xharge. . Judgment for amount claimed and 30s costs.— Painton v. Lange, < for £4 4s lid. .> Judgment for plaintiff and i 17s costs.— Langford and Son v." Smith, for £25 ss. Judgment for plaintiffs for amount,; claimed and ;l7a costs. — John Palmer v M'Coombes for £7 10s for main- . tenance of defendant's, children. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed and 13s costs.— Thomas v. Thomson for £2 6s. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed and iOs costs. — Kenyon v. Eban for damages for driving sheep off plaintiff's laud without notice. Case 'dismissed with 60s .costs.— Kenyon v. Hanson. Claim for value of certain lambs alleged to have been destroyed and eaten by defendant's pigs. Judgment for plaintiff for. 10s and 60s costs.— Nine other cases were either adjourned or. settled out of Court. -- - •--......
