[Br Reuter's Submabinb Cablb.] IN T EECOLONIA L. Sydney, Tuesday. The steam-barque Emii sailed froni Adelaide river yesterday for New Zealand. The Rev. George Brown, Wesleyan Mis-' sionary, arrived to-day, after, a .twenty months' visit to New Britain and New Ire-' land islands. The mission was successfully established, and the coast line of both islands explored. He also crossed New Ireland and c**,..c-ted a large number of birds and other specimens of natural history. The Suez mail arrived at Adelaide to-day! Wednesday. The following are passengers by the Suez mail steamer for New Zealand :— Messrs Chcynes, Walsh, and Brabazon. Jas. Ward, a merchant, has been brought from Fiji by a detective and committed for trial bn a charge of forging bills of lading and an insurance policy, on which he obtained £14,000. A girl named Smith, in the Droffield Workhouse, comes in for several thousand pounds left to her mother, who deserted her family several years ago and went to New Zealand under another name. The iron barque Baldwin, which left New Zealand in ballast for Valparaiso on April 7, has not since been heard of. Melbourne, Tuesday. Private telegrams confirm the advance in kerosene, hops, and brandy. Eighteen hundred bags of the William Gifford's cargo of New Zealand oats changed bands on private terms. The steam yacht Stella, for New Zealand, has arrived at Adelaide.
