MAILS CLOSE. Wednesday, October 11. For New Plymouth, Auckland, and Fiji — per s.s, Taupo, at 8 p.m. Thursday, October 12. For Westport, Greymouth, and Hokitika— per s.s. Maori, at 1 p.m. Friday, October 13. For Westport, Greymouth, and Hokitika — per s s. Murray, at 6 a.m. For Picton, Wellington, Napier, and Southern Provinces— per s.s. Ladybird, at 2 p.m. For Wellington, Southern Provinces of New Zealand, and the Australian Colonies — per s.s. Alhambra, at 3 p.m. The next mail outwards, via San Francisco, leaves Nelson on October 18th. A supplementary mail will be despatched on the 20th October, and will be due in London on December 7th.
