INTERCOLONIAL.
Sydney, Wednesday. In Queensland the body of a line repairer was found in the bush in the Northern District. It is supposed that he had wandered away from the track and perished from thirst. He had walked round in a circle within 100 yards of a track leading to a waterhole. It is understood that the Government received a communication from the Superintendent of Telegraphs who is now in England, stating that from information obtained it is improbable that the American Government will subsidise a cable between America and Australia.
