The Kennedy leaves Wellington at six o'clock this evening with a number of passengers for Kumara. She will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail about noon for Westport and Greymouth. The Murray arrived at Kekerangu this morning. She will load to-day with skins and tallow for Wellington, for which port she will sail to-morrow, and leave there for Nelson on Saturday. The VVallace left Westport; for Nelson last night. She will sail for Blenheim at 6 p.m. to-morrow. The Ladybird leaves Wellington this afternoon for Picton and Nelson. She brings a large number of miners for the Kumara, who will be transhipped into the Charles Edward, sailing to-morrow evening for Hokitika direct. The ketch Prospect arrived this morning from Fern Town with a cargo of coal for the Gas Works, which she discharged at the Commercial Wharf. The schooner Awaroa will take her departure for Wanganui this evening. The schooner Uno arrived this morning from Adele Island with a cargo of stone. The ketch Lily of the Wave arrived this morning from Wangamoa with one of her usual miscellaneous cargoes. The Union Company's s.s. Wellington, Captain Carey, came into harbor last evening shortly before eight o'clock. She left Onehunga at 9 a.m on Tuesday, proceeding to New Plymouth under easy steam, and dropping anchor off that port at 6 o'clock yesterday morning; landed passengers and cargo, and sailed for Nelson at 7 a.m., arriving here as above after a smart run across the Straits of 12f hours, the sea being as smooth as glass the whole way. The usual fine weather was experienced throughout. The Wellington sailed for South this morning at nine o'clock, and should the weather continue fine •will arrive at Wellington this evening.
