The Wallace arrived from Blenheim yesterday morning, and will leave for WaDganui this evening at 9 o'clock. The ketch Pearl arrived from Patea this afternoon, which port she left on Saturlay morning last. - r . The Kingarooraa was to leave Wellington: this afternoon, will arrive to-morrow morn* ing early, and is annouaced to sail for Mel* bourne via the South at 3 p m. The schooner Uno arrived yesterday afternoon from Adele Island with a cargo of stone. The barque Melroae toak her departure from Motueka for Sydney on Saturday last. Tbe metamorphosis effected iv the new vessel; lately arrived from Frenchman's Bay, has been completed, and she now looks a smart, schooner. We are informed by the owner, Mr W* Glover, that he int?nds to place hex in the coal trade between VVe^t Wanganui and Nelson, as there is at present an opening for such a trade. She is to be named the May, and will probably sail for her destination on Wednesday. The Uaion Company's c a. Hawea, Captain "Wheeler, came into harbor yesterday about noon. She left Port Chalmers at 2 pm. on tbe 23r<J, and arrived at Akaroa at 7 o'clock the following morning; left at 8.45 a.m., and arrived at Lyttelton : at I p.m ; left at 8 41) p.m . and arrived at Wellington at 2.15 pm. on Friday; sailed from Wellington at 9.15 am. on Saturday, and arrived at Picton at 1.30 pm; left Pictou at 2 p.m, and proceeded to the .French Pass, where the weather was found so thick ttias it was impossible to proceed further, compelling Capt. Wheeler . to run back to Guard's Bay, where the Hawea anchored for the night.
