KEROSINE OIL. "DEVOE'S BRILLIANT," In 2 Gallon and 4 Gallon Tins. rriHE above BRAND ia the best usually Sold, but to meet the requirements of those who wiah a FINER QUALITY of OIL, W. G. WILKINS has IMPORTED a small quantity of " Downer's/ 5 which is the best procurable, but gene* rally neglected on account of its Bomewhat higher price. {In 4« Gallon Tins only.) To ensure a good Light from Kerosine Lamps, those who trim them are reminded of the following precautions : Oil should never be allowed to remain in the Lamp for more than a few days, but the reservoir should be occasionally emptied and washed. Lamps should be filled, Cottons wiped (not cut), and Chitnnies cleaned every morning. Wicks should be of proper size and thickness, and when new should be well dried at the fire to expel every particle of moisture before being put into the kerosine. All Snuff and Dust should be removed from the Burners, and all air-holes kept open. Kerosine should not be exposed to the action of the air or the sun. W. C.
