To ensure a good Light from Kerosine Lamps, those who trim thera are reminded of the following precautions : Oil should never be allowed to remain in the Lamp for more than a few days, but the reservoir should be occasionally emptied and washed. Lamps Bbould be filled, Cottons wiped fnot cut), and Chimnies cleaned every morning. Wicks should be of proper size and thickness, and when new should be well driei at the fire (o expel every particle of moisture before being put into the kerosine.
