KEROSINE OIL. « DEVOE'S BIULLIANT," In 2 Gallon and 4 Gallon Tins. mHE above BRAND is the beßt usually Sold, but to meet the requirements of those who wish a FINER QUALITY of OIL, W. C. WILKIIISTS has IMPORTED a small quantity of " Downers/ which is the best procurable, but generally neglected on account of its somewhat higher price. (In A Gallon Tins only.) To ensure a good Light from Kerosine Lamps, those who trim thera are reminded of the following precautions : Oil should never be allowed to remain in the Lamp for more than a few days, but the reservoir should be occasionally emptied and washed. Lamps Bbould be filled, Cottons wiped fnot cut), and Chimnies cleaned every morning. Wicks should be of proper size and thickness, and when new should be well driei at the fire (o expel every particle of moisture before being put into the kerosine. All Snuff and Dust should be removed from the Burners, and all air-holes kept open. Kerosine should not be exposed to the action of the air or the BUD. W. C.
