MAIL STEAMER ZEALANDIA.

To the Editor of the * Evening Mau,!' Sir,— A letter from a Mr. Dodsqn. has appeared in your piper respecting the Royal Mail Steamer Zealandia under my command I would a«k you to give my flat contradiction to statements made in it regarding the dietary eyetem of that steamer. 1 can only account for it by the probability of Mr. Dodaon's not being accustomed to the modern system of meals a la Russe. Every possible arrangement was nude for the disposal and comfort of the New Zealand pnssengers under the circumstances of the accident to the Coliraa, and it is to be hoped thit Mr. Dodton'a experiences on the Atlantic will ba more favorably than on the Pacific, lam, &c, J. S. Fbrbies, Commander R.M.3. Zealandia. Sydney, June 23, 1876
