To ensure a good Light from Kerosine Lamps, those who trim them are reminded of the following precautions : Oil should never be allowed to remain in the Lamp for more L than a few days, but the \ reservoir should be occasionally emptied and washed. Lamps should be filled, Cottons wiped (not cut), and Chimnies cleaned every morning. Wicks should be of proper size r and thickness, and when new should be well dried at the fire to expel every particle of moisture before being put. j into the kerosine.
