So far the alterations substantially agree with those made by the Auckland Conference. The meeting adjourned until Friday next. . The <Guirdian urges Dunedin to take, up, the Fiji trade, abandoned by the Auckland Steam Packet Company from faults in management. , The University Council received another offer for the University building. The sum is in excess of the previous offer of £27,000; It is raihiog heavily, and great damage is reported throughout the country. The Island railway has stopped running.
