A CO NTRADICTION.
To THK EjMTOII OF TUB ' EVENING MAIL.' Sm — 1 was both surprised and amused on refilling in the report o. the Licensing Court held at Waimea West on Thursday last, that Mr Aetou Adams who appeared for the applicant John Palmer, asserted that I waa the causo ot the disturbances that have oc cvucl io his house. T > this I beg ti give a mo*t positive denial, a s it is well known in the neighborhood that he himself has been the sole cause of every irregularity.-" It is also weil known that he being bueh an eccentric individual hasnot been capable of co.iductiug any' business for some years past, more especially a licensed house. I nm on'y surprised_at : Mr Adams who so well knows
the real facts of , the matter, bringing forward such an unfounde 1 plea., I hope you will inccrt this in'the c»u»e of justice, as your paper has sut h a wide circulation, and if not contradicted it may be apt to mislead people who do not know John Palmer.— l am &., Alb bkt John Palmbb Foxhill, June 10th, 1876.,
