Toast, and Broil, as shown, equal to the op-n fire, or kitchen range, and aie most convenient and. economical, both in first cost and use, and, haviug no gas inside the oven, meet with general approbation. The oven is made with a case or jacket, and the heat fron the flame over tne roaster passes round the oven with a regular diffused heat, and the waste heat, alter passing round the oven is brought in contact with the top hot-plate, or under the -saucepans on top. so that all the heat irom the gas is mcd. The ridtres on the hot-plate aro radiating from each burner on the top, which causes the flame lo spread over the whoie of tbe bottoms of saucepans or kettles, asd the burners are co constructed that no fat or water can drop into them — so objectionable in most gas stoves.
