To the Editor op the ' Evening Mail.' Sir —ln the Colonist of this morning I observe a letter, signed by the manager of the line, in answer to an article in the Daily Times about the conduct of the railway officials on the 23 rd instant, which states that "no one was either turned out or asked to move except some who had second-class tickets." Now, sir, this I most emphatically deny, for I, and several others holding first-class tickets, were turned (not asked to move) out of a first-class carriage by the guard. The reason he gave was that it was reserved for ladies, which was not a fact, as I shortly afterwards saw him let several gentlemen in. Trusting that 1 have not trespassed too far on your good nature, I am, &c, TituTir. Nelson, Eebruary 2G, 1876.
