CORONER'S INQUEST.

An inquest was held yesterday afternoon, at the Pier Hotel, off the body of Annie Freeman, TDr. Boor, in the absence of Dr. Squires, acting as coroner. Frederick Flan having deposed to finding the body, William Allen described their sailing across to tbe Boulder Bank, where they went on shore and reefed the cail. On returning, tbe boat, in an attempt to wear ber, capsized, and threw himself, Ford, and deceased out. On rising tQ

George Ford stated that upon the boat capsizing she «t once filled. He was under water for quite. a minute, and then struck out for the boat but could not find it, and bo made for the Boulder Bank. After he had been there about three minutes Allen joined him. He heard the deceased call nut " Willie save me, save me" when the boat turned over. Henry Young saw the parly start, and warned them that it was not safe to go out in the boat, which had her racing sails bent, on so gusty an evening. The jury returned a verdict to the effect that deceased was accidentally drowned.
