HAPPY VALLEY. The adjourned case of Hervey v. Flowers, for assault at the late Suburbs' election, was heard and dismissed. GOOSEY, GOOSEY, GANDER. Burrell and Moller v. M^Oorikey.— Plaintiffs claimed possession of one grey goose and one saddle-backed gander, the property of the plaintiffs, wrongfully taken and detained by the defendant, or their value £2. Mr Fell appeared for plaintiffs, and Mr Pitt for the defendant. Evidence, which was somewhat conflicting on the part of the witnesses for the defence, was taken at great length, the defendant's case being that the geese were his own property, having been purchased by him from Mr "Webby. Counsel having addressed the Bench, judgment was given for plaintiffs, their Worships stating that they offered no opinion as to how the geese came into the possession of the defendant, but were satisfied that they were the property of the plaintiffs. Costs £3 13s.
