[Per Ringabooma.] London, January 5. The New South Wales 4 per cent Joan of £900,000 was subscribed to-day. Tenders were sent in for nearly a million and a half— the minimum was 91}. £!000of the loan realized £92 I3s. Yesterday, a 4£ per cent, account of a million partly failed, as only £380,000 was tendered for at and above the sealed minimum of 98£. January 6. The schemes of reform in Turkey, which were anuounced on the 3rd instant do not involve the tutelage of the Powers. England has not replied, but France adheres to the scheme. France has sent a special envoy to Egypt in connection with the Suez Canal question. January 8. The Bank rate has been raised to 5 per cent. There have been large withdrawals of gold for the Continent. Wheat is dull. Australian, 525. to 53s ; New Zealand, 49a., to 51s. The mail, via Queensland, was delivered on the 3rd instant.
