The following is from the "Wellington Post's police report :r— Augustus Yelverton was again brought up on a charge of drunkenness and vagrancy. As is usual when he appears in Court, he gesticulated wildly. He was dressed in similar garments to those which are believed to have been worn by Adam before the invention of tailors. As prisoner seemed to be incorrigible, and was sent to gaol for three calendar months. The Post of Friday says :— The Kaiapoi representatives arrived with their boat by the Hawea yesterday morning. Nelson and Ofcago represent tatives have yet to come in, besides a few stragglers.
