The Charles Edward left for Wanganui on Saturday afternoon. The Hawea arrived on Saturday night and sai ed again tor the North by the same tide. The Lyttelton with immigrants ex Caroline sailed for. Blenheim yesterday afternoon, arrived thereat 11.30 this morning, and will Bail for Wellington to-morrow. The Ladybird arrived from Picton yesterday morning, and sailed for the North at 1 p.m. to-day. She took a few of the Caroline's immigrants to New Plymouth. The Wallace left on Saturday afternoon for West Coa«t port 9wi h a large number of immigrants ex « aroline. She arrived at We>tport ysterday a<t~rnoon, left last night for HoMtika and arrived there at noon to-day. The s.e. Murray, Oaptai>i Palmer, left Nel--Bon for West Coast ports on Tuesday January 11 »t 9 a m.; rounded the Spit at 4.30 pm , wird, W.S.W with short head sea; midniehf, freah S.W. winds with short head sea; Wed-nes-lny 12, fresh SW. winds, and clear; ar rived at Wetporc at 10 a.m. on Thursday; Bailed for Hokitika at 11 p.m., and arrived at 10.30 a.m next day; left again for Greymouth and arrived at 1.20 p.m ; sailed for Wesfport tit mWninht, and arrive 1 at 10.15 a.m.; sailed for Nelson at noon on Saturday, with strong SB. wind paesed Hock's Point at 7 p.m., Cape Farewell on Sunday at 2 a.m., Spit Lighthouse at 4.85 p.m., and arrive! here at 11.30 a.m The ship Mataura is loading at Port Chalmers f>r London. She has shipped 1800 bales of wool and 1400 bags of grain, and is expf cted to pail about the end of this month. The chip KaKaia, Captain Friston, arrive 1 at Port Cnalmera from London on Monday last, after a passage of 85 days from land to land. On November 20ih a barque was sighted early, and was next teen bearing down upontteliakaia, under a signal of disiress She -proved to be the French barque Jeanne Poetel, Capt Bourge, from the Chincha Islands, bound to Martinique, 57 days out Scurvy had broken out on board, carried off the captain's son, and placed eight of the crew on the sick list. The barque was supplied with potatoes and oiher anti-BCorcutics by the itakaia, and the two vessels then separated. The Kakaia brought 43 passengers.
