At the close -of the examination he congratulated the children on the creditable manner in which they had r acquitted themselves in the various subjects, especially so in reading, recitation, and writing; a marked improvement, being noticeable in the former on that fof last year. The children seem to be well and car fully taught in reading, writing, and arithmetic. AS to tbeir conduct the children were well behaved and discipline is well maintained.
