Mr William Hodgson Earnicoat was this morning, on the motion of Mr Fell, admitted as a.barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand. At the Resident Magistrate's Court this morning Thomas Baynon was charged with being an habitual drunkard, he having been thrice convicted of drunkenness within the preceding twelve months. He was sentenced to three days' imprisonment. A meeting of the members of the Band of Hope, at which four or five hundred children were present, was held at the Temperance Hall last night, when an address was delivered to them by Mr B. Criap on " Tem-perance,-truthfulness, and honesty." A sale of work in aid of the funds fofc the Wakefield parsonage is to be held on the 30fch ari&^SJgfc&stanfc.
