IT is HEREBY NOTIFIED, that, after the l»t of January next, the use of Impressed Stamp? upon Transfers of Share, is compulsory, but transfers of shares miy bstamped at a Stamp Office by the Commie e sioner or a Deputy Commis.i.ner within one mo,.th after execution without a fine. Managers and Secretaries of Companies, Sharebrokers, aod others interested, are recommended to forward, without delay, such forms of Transfer as tliey may require to be impressed, accompanied t<y the usual requisition and receipt from the Bank of New Zealand for amount thereof, less the authorized discount. Information may be obtained at any Stamp Offlce. Tbe provisions of the Act relating hereto are as follow:—* «• 47. (1). No transfer of' any share or sh»res, of or in the stock or funds of any corporation, 7 company, or society whatever in New Zealand shall be registered, recorded, or entered in the books of such corpbrtion, company, or society unless such transfer is duly stamped. "103; No instrument of sale or transfer of any share or share i shall be valid, eitber »t law or in equity, unless the name of the purchaser or transferee is inserted therein at the time of or before the execution of the instrument of sale or transfer; and, if any person executes a sale-note, transfer, contract- note, or other instrument of sale or transfer, in any manner or for any purpose whatsoever, unless the name of the purohaser is inserted tnerein at the time or be: ore the execution thereof, he shall forfeit a sum of not lets than £20 or more than £100; and, if any such instrument is s> made or signed, it _hall be wholly and absolutely void and inoperative, acd ahall in no case be made available by the insertion of a name or any other particulars afterwards; and the person selling or transferring such share shall not be divtsted ot his interest therein, but shall remain iiable thereon as if he bal never sold or disposed of the same. And if such person is a licensed sharebroker, bis license shall, on any conviction under this section, be absolutely forfeited, and be Bhall not thereafter be qualified to act as a broker, or to have a fresh license issued to him. •' 104. No Bhare v roker, auctioneer, commifsion agent, or any other person shall be entitled to any brokers ge, commission, or any other fee or reward in resp et of the tale or transfer of any such share, unless the instrument of sale or transfer is filled up with all necessary particulars to make it a' complete instrument and is duly stamped."
