Tl e importance of establishing efficient 6toam communication between the producing districts of Blind Bay and the markets of the colony has been long felt Tlie objects of i his Company are to purchase a suitable steamer to trade between Motueka. Moutere, Riwaka, Waitapu, CollingwxKd Nelson, and other places in the Bay. The trade with th(sa ports is large, and increasing daily, and the present means of communication are inadequate for the requirements of the inhabitants of these numerous districts. The timber trade alone has lately a*s tmed an important position, and will continue to do so; The promoters (eel certain tint r. hrgc and steady trade with bo h passengers and cargo would be at once received by any Company th>it would put a suitable b)it on the Bay, and that such a boat wou'd pay large dividends to the owners, and prove au extremely profitable undertaking- Ihe public will also derive great beneSt by being able to go to Nelson a^ back the same day. The pomotera therefore call upon the settlers in these districts to take shares in the proposed Company, in order to participate in the above and other advantsgea thtt are certain to accrue from the purchase of a steamer, to be devoted to their interests. They therefore hope that everv settler will take a few shares, and early application ia necessary , in order to prevent the control of the Company's affairs falling into the hands of a few. Applications for Shares are to be sent either to the Secretary, at Mctueka, or the Union Bank of Australia, Nelson, where the necessary forms can be obtained. The Share List will close on the Fifteenth of October next. I Motueka, August 19, 1875. *ls6B
