Interim Secretary : Mr. J. S. ICdelsten. Temporary. OJjices : Mrv J. S. EmisTEN'a office, Motueka, The importance of establishing efficient 6team communication between the producing di tricts of Blind Bay and the markets of the colony his been long felt The objects of this Company are to purchase a saitable steamer to trade between Motueka, Moutere, Riwaka, Waitapu. Collingwo r d. Nelson, and other places in the Bay. The trade with th(S3 ports is large, and increasirg daily, and the present means of communication are inadequate for the requirements of the inhabitants of these numerous districts. The timber trade alone has iately a?s ;med an important position, and will continue to do so. The promoters feel certain that a largo and steady trade with boh pnssengtrs and cargo would ba at once received by any Company that would put a suitable bjit on the Bay, and that such a boat would pay large dividends to the owners, aud prove an extremely profitable undertaking. The public will also derive great benefit by being able to go to Nelson aid back the Fame day. The promoters therefore call upon the settlers in these districts to take shares in the proposed Company, in order to participate in the above and other advantages tint are certain to accrue from the purchase of a B?eamer r to be devoted to their interests. They therefore hope that every settler will take a few shares, and early application is nccessnry, in order to prevent the control of the Company's affairs filling iato the hands of a few. Applications for Shares nra to be sent either to the Secretary, at Motutka, or the Union Bank of Auitralia, Nelson, where the necessary forme can be obtained, The Share List will close on the Fifteenth of October next. \ Motueka, August 19, 1875. 2L66
