Edeisten's Office, MoxuEKAi The importance of establishing efficient steam communication bttween the producing ditricis of Blind Bay and the markets of the colony has been long felt The olvjects of ihis Comp»ny nrs to purcWe a suitable steamer ti tr.ide between Motneka, Moutere, Uiwaka, Waitapu, Collingwor-d. Nelson, and other places in the Bay. The trade with thr S3 ports is large, and increasirg daily, and the present means of communication are inadequate for the requirements of the inhabitant* of these numerous districts. The timber tr»de alone has lately atsimed an important position, and will continue to do so. The promoters feel certain tint a large and steady trade with bo h passengers and cargo would be at once received by any Company that woulii put a suitable b3nt on the B\y. and that such a boat would pay large dividends to the owners, and prove an extremely profitable undertaking. The public will also derive great benefit by being able to go to Nelson a^d buck the same day. The p:omoters therefore civil upon the settlers ia the^.e districts to take shares in the proposed Company, in order to participate in the above 1 and other advantages tint are certain to ' accrue from the purchase of a steamer, to be devoted to their interests. They therefore hope that ever? settler will take a few shares, and early application is accessary, in order to prevent the control of the Company's affairs falling iato the hands of a few. , Applications for Shares are to be sent either to the Secretary, at Mftueka, or the Union Bank of /:u-tralia, Nelson, where the necessary forms'can be obtained. The Share List will close on the Fifteenth of October next. " Motueka, August 19, 1875. *kg6
