Mr luckia asked the Miainrer of Public Works whether any arrangements had been nude for carrying the line of nil way to connect the Government wharf at Nelion with tlie terminal station at Toi Toi Valley, if not what course the Government proposed to pursue to order to wake this oeceisiry connection? . Mr Kichardson Raid the Government did t not consider there was any necetslty to extend the line at present, the distance between t the to»n and the port bring so short that it , wa* queifionable whether the line would be made usa of.
