Went intc Astrolabe, and saw I'orter, who said he bad seen a b«ede turnip floating off Sandy Bay; rowed along tbe const, and at 4 p.m. wenl into Marahau, where we learned that a coistei bad been carrying luraips from Riwaka to SaDdy Bay for the last three months, and unloading them on the beach. Stayed io bandy Bay the night, and ob Thursday morning rowed down to Kaitetl\eri; looked into ali the little baye, and landed occasionally to search the driftwood; sailed along Riwaka tiandt, to Mocuena, which we left ai 11 am.
