Edeisten's Office, Moiweka. The importince of establishing efficient steam communication between the practicing districts of Blind Bay and the markets If the colony hss been long felt. The objeots of this Company are to purchase a suifcible steamer to trude between Motueka, Mouoere, Riwakit, Waitapu, Collingword Nelson, and other places in the Bay. The trade wifth this-2 ports is large, and increasirg daily, anoS the present means of communication are inadequate for the requirements of the inhabitants of these numerous districts. The timber trade alone has lately as3imed an important position, and will continue to do so. The promoters feel certain that a large and steady trade with boh passengers aud cargo would be at once received by any Company thnt would put a suitable bo;it on the Bay, and that such a boat wou'd pay large dividends to the owners, and prove an extremely profitable undertaking. The public | will also derive great benefit by being able to go to Nelson and back the same day. The promoters therefore call upon the settlers in tbeße districts to take shares in the proposed Company, ia order to participate fa the above and other ailv a ntigen thit are certain to accrue from the purchas j of a s! earner, to be devoted to their interests. They therefore hore that every settler wilt L ake a few shares, ' and early application is necessary, in order to prevent the control of the Company's affairs falling into the hands of a few. Applications for Shares are to be sent either to the Secretary, at Motueka, or the Union Bank of Australia, Nelson, where the necessary forms can be obtained. The Share List will close on the Fitte^uth of October next. ) Motuekti, August 19, 1875. 2L66
